Home Accountz has been rewritten from the ground up using the same technology we used for our flagship product Business Accountz. That is why we decided to give it a new name. Like its predecessors, it is multi-platform (Mac, Windows and Linux) offering a perfect solution for anyone needing to track their spending, record their income, budget ahead and forecast their finances. Files can be freely moved from one platform to another and the software is also compatible with USB only devices such as MacBook Air and netbooks (box contains CD and full download details).

Home Accountz is designed to make looking after your household accounts really simple and fast, with views into the future to help you stay in control and plan for those things you really need. Run it, enter your transactions or download bank statements from the internet, check your balances, stay in control of your money.

Home Accountz tracks your bank, credit cards, savings and loans in the simplest possible way. You can enter all your transactions in the same window in any order so you can see exactly what you have done. You can also enter directly into individual accounts complete with the running balance updated live as you type.

Your full account balances update in real time, so you will always know what you have in the bank, what you have left till the end of the month and whether you will go overdrawn in the future.

Creating the structure of your accounts is simple and with unlimited account groups and sub accounts you can see your income, expenditure and liabilities in as much or as little detail as you require.

Home Accountz imports data (in QIF format) from MS Money and Intuit Quicken, and from Personal Accountz (.AZH format), plus bank statements can be downloaded in all the major formats ensuring there is no quicker, easier way to manage your personal finances. Multi-Currency
Home Accountz can handle transactions in all currencies.

Import Bank Statements
You can import statements in all 3 of the major formats: OFX, QIF and CSV. Some banks display this as Microsoft Money (OFX) or Quicken (QIF). Either and all these formats are fine. The CSV format can sometimes be shown as Excel. This too is fine. You can also import spreadsheet files if you are moving over from a spreadsheet using the CSV format.

Budgeting and forecasts
Budgets can be set on individual accounts and/or account groups. They can be set manually for individual monthly periods or an annual total can automatically be applied monthly. In other words budgets can be set on a very broad basis, or very finely tuned down to individual months and individual accounts. Perfect for budgeting for a holiday in August and also budgeting for food throughout the year.
Home Accountz features a look-ahead feature that forecasts your direct debits, standing orders and anything else you want to automate in order to get a preview of what you bank and other accounts balances will look like into the future. This is one of the features that sets Home Accountz apart.

Accounts
You can structure your accounts in the way that suits you the best. You are not restricted to categories and sub-categories. Instead you can create an unlimited number of groups and nest those groups in any way you like. What does that mean? It means you can have a group called 'House', which can contain a group for each room in the house, which can then list all your furniture and contents values. This is perfect for insurance purposes as well as finding out how much it would cost to replace items. The Accounts view is immensely powerful yet really simple to use. View individual accounts. Adjust the columns you want to see, their position and size. View the running balance of individual accounts, and fully editable too. Reconcile bank and credit card statements with ease. Filter your views in a practically unlimited number of ways. Create new filters that can be named and saved.

Automated Transactions
Automate future transactions such as direct debits and standing orders. But you are not limited to those types of transaction. You can also automate income too. Set your salary, pension, child tax credits etc. These will then appear automatically on the date you specify. They can be scheduled to happen from once a day to once a year and more or less everything in between including 1, 2 or 4 weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly and bi-annually.

Export
All your transactions can be exported in CSV, the standard spreadsheet format. You can open more than one file too, so you can join files together if necessary by importing data from different sources.

Preset Transactions
Set up commonly occurring transactions such as ATM withdrawals (hole in the wall machines) and enter them with a single click. If you do your accounts manually, this is a real time saver.

Graphs and Charts
Home Accountz has a very powerful graph and chart creation tool. It is based on the filters you set up to view your accounts. These 'views' can be named and are automatically saved your future use. Each view can have its own graph type set, as well as the data and axis specified. Of course you do not need to use this 'power user' functionality, you could just set up a simple pie chart of your expenses for example, but it is there if you need it.
